WASHINGTON: After the formation of the Narendra Modi government, there is a
tremendous mood swing and positivity in the country, a visiting delegation of Indian
CEOs from CII said describing its maiden budget as visionary.
The delegation of Indian CEOs from Confederation of Indian Industry in an interaction with the Washington audience at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace yesterday highlighted the
growing sense of optimism amongst both the public and industry in India following the recent election results which brought BJP to power with a landslide majority.
Ajay Shriram, CII President described the unique nature of the recent elections, in which the BJP came to power solely on the campaign promise of growth and development, which speaks to the aspirations of India's young people.
Describing the 2014-15 annual budget as visionary, they commended the new government for moving very actively to ease and facilitate the way business

Narendra Modi govt will succeed in bringing back past glory:Ravishankar
Uniom Minister of Law and Justice Ravishankar Prasad today said with Narendra Modi government coming to power at the Centre, a new ray of hope was visible which could lead the country to regain the past glory which was the dream of our great freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
Addressing a function organised on the occasion of birth anniversary of Bal Gangadhar Tilak here, Mr Prasad said that India was on fore-front in Economics, Science, Techonology and philosophical aspect of the development of civilisation.
A long era of foreign rule in the country, totally demoralised the people and they even forgotten that the country was leader on all fronts across the globe in ancient period, he added. 'With Narendra Modi government coming to power at the Centre, a new ray of hope is visible which could lead the country to regain the past glory that existed in ancient period' Mr Prasad said adding that Narendra Modi government would meet expectation of the masses of the country. Recalling the contribution of Bal Gangadhar Tilak in not only freedom struggle but also in shaping the cultural destiny of the country, Mr Prasad said that Bal Gangadhar Tilak had tried his bassed to inculcate high moral values among the people of the country
