Heavy loot is going on in sale of medicine. Low cost medicines are sold at higher price in the name of big brand name. Doctors prescribe costly medicine to earn commission from drug manufacturers.
Government hospitals , schools, colleges should be made functional in real sense . Only distribution of first class degrees is not enough to ensure better education. It has to be ensured that quality teachers in all schools and colleges are posted in adequate numbers and honest examination is conducted to give justice to really talented students.
Government has to stop drinking and use of tobacco products like cigarette, pan gutka etc which are cause of cancer and which kills lacs of persons every year. If total prohibition is not possible, GOI should try to make its availability based on license. Open sale should be stopped and higher and higher tax should be imposed so that its sale is reduced slowly and gradually.
Courts are not working to dispose off the pending cases . Appointment of adequate judges in all courts and helping staff can only ensure delivery of justice in shortest period of time. Ninety per cent of crime will end if police and court start taking action and giving judgement in three months time. Police persons have to be made people friendly.
Water sold on trains, on platforms and on many shops are not pure water. used bottles are refilled and sold to earn exorbitant profit even though it may harm person who drinks such spurious and impure water.
Cleanliness has to improve more and for that , government has to establish fool proof and regular system and existing system of cleaning through Municipality or Corporation has to be made more effective and active.
Engineers are making fake bills , suppliers are forced to submit fake bills by government departments, contractors are making fake bills without performing actual and perfect work for getting huge payment , huge profit and for giving bribe to officials.
There is large scale corruption in promotion in banks an din all PSUs .Similarly Recruitments are bribe based. Please take action to stop interview system specially in promotion because it is interview which gives an opportunity to panel members to reject good performers and select flatterers and own persons. Merit cannot be checked in 2 minutes of interview . A person who has worked for years and decades can be assessed suitably through internal assessment processes. A person who cannot be judged in thirty years of service cannot be judged in two or three minutes of interview.
You seek suggestion for improving performance of public sector banks or PSUs. It can be possible only when employees stop flattery to their bosses. In private sector , staff work for their organisation whereas in public sector , staff work to please bosses. This is why flattery and yesmanism is more in PSUs and government offices. This culture of flattery and bribery has caused all losses to not only banks but also to BSNL, railways, insurance companies,PSUs and government departments.
If you want to make public sector banks profitable and safe , you have to stop political misuse of banks and you cannot dream of profit of PS banks at par with private banks if you (GOI) continue to take social welfare oriented work from PS banks. You have to stop sell of post of ED and CMD and stop of use of ED and CMD for sanction of loans to persons and business houses of choice of politicians and make them as free as ED and CMDs of private banks are. You have to strengthen legal machineries so that money blocked in bad borrowers is recovered easily and quickly.
Village adoption scheme may be successful only when MPs and MLAs take it seriously. Moreover by focussing on one or two villages MPs and MLAs cannot take the risk of annoying other hundreds of villages. I think it will be more fruitful if all villages are allotted in one lot to MPs , MLAs, Chairman of various PSUs, Banks and insurance companies, all big corporate houses, individuals , service men, doctors, professionals and business men earning more than Rs.50.00 lac a month or five crore a year. If need more than one village can be allotted. Banks and post offices , each have one lac branches . If each branch one village thy can serve more than one lac village . As a matter of fact the system of adoption of village by each branch is prevalent for more than three and four decades.
I therefore request you to bring about change slowly and gradually to stop misuse of manpower. Banks are sick only because all higher posts are purchasable commodity. Not only in banks , all departments and PSUs are suffering from same disease. If you want to really modify the culture , you have to give value to seniority . In exceptional cases when there is extraordinary potential and talent in any worker, management should have discretion to promote such person to the extent of 1 or 2 per cent only, that too with full transparency so that own friends and kith and kin are not obliged in the name of merit.
BJP members should be advised to stop using parliamentary language and abuse any caste or community. If any MP or Minister crosses the limit of speaking ethics , he must be removed from high post or MP or Minister's post.
BJP is good and should appear to be good in all actions. We have to develop good image and win the heart of common men . Issue of Hindu religion or Hindu temple or that of Muslim should not be a matter of discussion in any forum. For such issues, method of persuasion should be adopted and method of reconciliation AND adjustment should be followed in true spirit.
